I'm a photographer living in Brooklyn, raised in the mid-west. When I first moved here in 1999, I thought it was the bleakest place I'd ever seen. Wandering around photographing my neighborhood and learning about the city, I found that there are so many hidden, exciting things here (a secret club, weird art nailed to a tree). That's how I approach everything I shoot now, looking for tucked away details that make me want to take a piece home to remember forever. |
